Muró

Composer • Songwriter • Producer • Sound Storyteller

Muró is an independent composer, songwriter, and producer whose work blends Contemporary R&B, neo-soul, cinematic textures, ambient sound design, and reflective songwriting into immersive listening experiences. Italian-born and San Francisco–based, he approaches music as a form of storytelling shaped through memory, human connection, and emotional interpretation rather than traditional genre boundaries.

With a background spanning sound design, post-production, visual storytelling, instrumentation, and music culture research, Muró developed an artistic process centered around emotion first — often beginning with simple chord movements, fragments of melody, philosophical reflection, personal observations, or imagined cinematic scenes before evolving naturally into fully realized songs. His work embraces both organic inspiration and modern creative tools, allowing each release to unfold according to mood and narrative rather than formula or expectation.

Influenced by producer-led creators such as Rick Rubin, Mike Oldfield, and Alan Parsons, along with the exploratory spirit of artists like The Beatles and Pink Floyd, Muró’s project is intentionally genre-fluid and atmosphere-driven. Rather than remaining tied to a single sonic identity, the music moves fluidly between late-night R&B, neo-soul intimacy, cinematic ambience, acoustic warmth, sensual minimalism, and reflective songwriting. Influences ranging from Sade’s intimacy, elegance, and sensual restraint to Daniel Caesar’s emotionally vulnerable modern R&B help define the project’s emotional core. The atmospheric textures and cinematic darkness of Massive Attack, together with the timeless emotional storytelling and orchestral sensibility associated with composers such as John Williams, contribute to a body of work rooted in memory, atmosphere, and cinematic immersion. Organic inspiration and modern creative tools coexist naturally within a body of work designed not simply as songs, but as emotional spaces suspended in time.

Recent releases such as She Don’t Know and My Heaven have begun attracting growing international attention through independent curator support, Spotify and YouTube playlist placements, American, French music blog coverage, and radio broadcasting in South Africa. Muró’s music has also appeared within independent R&B and Neo-Soul discovery charts — including Groover’s Global R&B/Soul rankings at #103. As the audience steadily expands across countries including Brazil, South Africa, the United States, Canada, the Philippines, and parts of Europe, the project is gradually building a reputation for its late-night atmosphere, cinematic sensibility, and emotionally resonant sound.

As the Muró project continues evolving day after day, new releases and conceptual directions are already taking shape. Alongside upcoming singles, plans are underway for a future EP gathering unreleased remixes and alternate versions of previously released songs, offering listeners a different perspective into the project’s evolving sonic world. Future works will also explore retro-inspired cinematic atmospheres, while a full-length album currently in development is expected to introduce a more stripped-back and intimate creative direction — bringing a different emotional perspective to Muró’s evolving sonic world.
